    I agree on JB returning punts. Our O is good enough that it doesn’t really need whatever extra yards he may bring. Big risk, little reward.

    I would much rather have defensive starters on kickoff coverage than our best player on punt returns.

    I bet JB has been in Gundy’s ear about wanting a bigger role, wanting to make plays and he is seeing this triple coverage stuff really is taking away some of his touches. Also it could be that Gundy is rewarding JB for his attitude in dealing with this. He is hungry for some more TDs. The risk is high, but I think JB has earned the right to show what he can do. And after Coop let a few bounce at TX, it probably wasn’t what Gundy was wanting from his PR guy either.
