  1. I know it’s Phil Steele but it cracks me up that Baylor is tied with Louisiana-Monroe on a home field advantage list

    • That is funny. I made a La-Mo trip many years back. The fans were freakin’ scary. No shirts, sunburned crimson red, and falling down drunk.

      • You want scary?  Go to a tailgate party in Norman….only there about 1/2 of them have painted themselves red; the falling down drunk part still applies….

  2. When JW says that he felt like he was only 3 or 4 plays away from being the starter last year, was he referring to the 3 or 4 sacks that opposing teams actually managed to get on Weeden?

  3. If anyone has earned my trust in developing players, it is Wick.  He does the same thing every year to ensure that he’s putting the best five players out on the field.  He plays “musical linemen” every year – I think he breaks them down and builds them up – just like we do in the military.  And the players are “cross-trained” for the other positions.  The line will be top shelf once again.

  4. do you mean “starting a freshman quarterback” could work or end badly, or “maintaining the ‘no media contact for first year players rule’ could work or end badly?

  5. Loaded bullets. Love it. Ready for football and 65 degrees.
