Quick programming note: we’ve changed the name of “the morning fade” to the “daily bullets” — sometimes it takes me a while to think of this stuff…all content is completely the same.

Follow up from the Justin Blackmon/Olivia Newton story yesterday, here’s Mike Gundy showing the kids some love. (Special Spectators)

Interesting stat from Sharon Katz: When throwing the ball at least 20 yards in the air during conference play, Weeden completed 10-of-16 passes when targeting Blackmon, but only 9-of-22 when targeting other receivers. (ESPN)

More good stuff from ESPN: last year Alshon Jeffery had 1 drop, Justin Blackmon had 5, and Ryan Broyles had 0. (ESPN)

Bad news on so many levels – flooding could affect the College World Series in Omaha this year. (Omaha.com)

The Darrell Williams trial was pushed back. Again. (Tulsa World)

Not sure how I missed this (my apologies) but Sherman Smith died on Monday. For those of you who don’t know, he’s the man OSU is naming its practice facility after…when Mike Holder’s great-great-grandchildren start building it. (Tulsa World)

Only three teams had ESPNU 150 Top 150 signings from 2011, OSU was one of them. (ESPN)

Ubben says Landry Jones is the Big 12’s best bet for a Heisman and that if the Cowboys lose more than one game Weeden won’t go to New York. I concur. (ESPN)

John Helsley on the bizarre Big 12, where Travis Ford is considered an “experienced coach.” (NewsOK)

Travis Ford yesterday on LeBryan Nash – “[he] is a very talented individual with a variety of skills. But like any freshman, he’s got to learn how hard you have to compete every day, whether it’s lifting weights, practicing or playing pickup games. He has had a tendency to play hard when game are close or when he’s challenged.” Like I’ve been saying, this will not end well. (Big 12 Sports)

Looks like Dana’s about to get a promotion. (Dr. Saturday)

It’s a little embarrassing to finish as the #1 team without a trophy to show for it, no? (Golf Week)
