Good point by Chatmon that TV appearances are proof that OSU has arrived. (NewsOK)

Ubben says Markelle Martin is the best safety in the Big 12. (ESPN)

Although somewhat odd this is actually kind of a cool promotion by Baylor for football tickets. Hat tip to Kevin DeShazo on the find. (Baylor Bears)

This flowchart of who Oklahomans should root for is pretty much why blogs exist. (CRFF)

New application process based on leadership and creativity to be instituted at Oklahoma State. I wish I could Facebook like this like 100 times. (okstate.edu)

Broderick Brown and Shaun Lewis are up for ESPY play-of-the-year. You can vote at espn.com/espys although the voting area is a bit obscure. I’ve included a screenshot to help you below. (okstate.com)

Sean Micthell with a solid history of how we got from the SWC to the Big 12 to the departure of Nebraska and Colorado as of today. Can you imagine if blogging had been around when the SWC split up? I can see Ubben jammed in a Starbucks somewhere in Dallas just pounding lattes and churning out 22 posts a day trying to keep up with it all. (Yahoo)

Your AT&T National scores yesterday: Uihlein: +3, Van Pelt: -1, Mahan: +2, Howell III: -2, Fowler: -2, and Bradley: +3. (PGA Tour)

Talor Gooch fell in the round of 16 yesterday to the #1 seed at the U.S. Amateur Public Links. By the way, can the USGA not afford a digital camera? It looks like they scanned in Polaroids. (USGA)

Not sure how impressed I am with the new Pac 12 web site. (Pac-10.org)

To contrast that, the new Big 12 web site looks awesome…though I still wish they’d do away with the dark background. (Big 12 Sports)

Ubben wonders who the second best team in the Big 12 is. (ESPN)

Seth Becker with an all-decade Oklahoma State football team. It’s a solid list and shows a ton of research, but you can’t not have Dez Bryant. You guys can argue about who the other WR should be between Blackmon and Rashaun, but Dez has to be on this team. (Holy Turf)

is it weird that I watch that team interception just to see Broyles get decleated?

The real question is whether or not it’s better than the Rufus de-cleatation by D’Juan in the Paul Thompson game…?

Can’t wait to see DLowe play this fall, he should be hungry. The depth of the defensive backfield hopefully won’t have to make up for a weak front though. Aren’t we due for some success up front? I know this subject comes up every year at this time, but I’m just sayin’ maybe it’s time for some good luck on defense. Fingers crossed!
