Unrest in Oxford! (maybe) (Yahoo)
I do love Gundy’s great effort to keep three eight here: “We’ve had (Justin) Blackmon and (Brandon) Weeden and Russell (Okung) and (Brandon) Pettigrew. Those guys all came back and ended up being first-round picks and did very well. Emmanuel likes school. He likes being involved with our team. I think he’s comfortable here. At some point, he’ll have to make that decision.” (O’Colly)
How good is this?

Around the country
It’s hard to keep up with all the awards, but Lincoln Logs won the Broyles award as the top assistant in CFB. (Big 12)
I agree with the Pac-12 commish that there needs to be uniformity. It’s unfortunate, silly. (CBS)
Love this, the Big 12’s best opportunity to change its perception is to win all its bowl games. (ESPN)
No knock on Christian McCaffrey. He’s a fantastic player, fun to watch, with an invaluable versatility that should be applauded at every turn. Let’s face it, he’s better than just about anyone he plays against. His accomplishments deserve the public’s recognition. But Sanders was from another planet. (Tulsa World)
Dan Bailey siren
Dan Bailey, Berry Tramel says, can kick a football straight as well as any human who has ever lived. I agree. (NewsOK)
The numbers agree too. (PFB)
Other sports
All this post did is remind me that Wyoming (!) is in the Big 12 in wrestling. Oh, and we took a weekly award which is like Zuckerberg saying he successfully made a blog on his own WordPress site. (Big 12)
OU is one of 12 unbeatens in CBB. I believe I saw this is down to 10 now. (Yahoo)
Crootin news
Can we go get this Bama transfer wide receiver? (CBS)
Cameron Murray of Bryant (Arkansas) High School isn’t ranked by RecruitingNation, but Oklahoma State’s staff believes it landed one of the biggest steals in the entire 2016 class. Not only did Murray’s senior film have him quickly moving up the charts with recruiters, but he also tested extremely well this spring at The Opening regional and his results matched the type of explosion he showed on film. (ESPN – $)
Are we stealing another 4-star RB from Georgia? (PFB)
More PFB
Big 12 teams are going to be forced to schedule at least one Power 5 opponent now. So they will play almost two more Power 5 opponents than SEC teams! (PFB)
