Come on, Melania. You have to link and cite, then you can just call it blogging.

Mike Gundy Wrap

Mike Gundy on his program-building skills: “When our players leave our program and they get to be 25, 28, 30 years old, if they look back and think they had a great experience at Oklahoma State — want to be a part of homecoming and want to be a part of our team — that’s more gratifying to me than anything else. We have to win or we don’t keep our jobs, because that’s the world we live in today. But the other (side) is so important to me. You don’t get those years back.” [NewsOK]

This is why I do about 30 percent of the things I do now.

Big 12 Media Days

What has yet to be decided is how the league’s two finalists will be determined. Bowlsby thinks two five-team divisions is a likely outcome with each division’s winner playing in the title game. [Yahoo]

Berry Tramel with some strong words for BU: “I don’t know what the Big 12 will do with Baylor. But I know what the Big 12 would like to do. Wash its hands of Waco.” [NewsOK]

It was pretty great.

Mason Rudolph Stuff

Rudolph on what he wants from this year: “I want to be decisive. I want to know where I’m going. I want to get there quick with the ball and make sure it’s there. I think a combination of things with the footwork, with the mental side, it’s coming together pretty well.” [Tulsa World]

Priority No. 1 in Stillwater (not just for Mike Gundy) should be keeping Mason Rudolph upright. [NewsOK]

Yes he is.

Football News

Good stuff here from Chad Whitener on the state of the country: “Some police officers have been wrong. But I don’t feel like, as a mass group of people, that they shouldn’t be taken out on because there’s some really good men and women that serve us and protect us who died.” [O’Colly]

I love me some James Washington. Here he is talking about the comparison to Rashaun Woods: “I love going back home and seeing the smile on people’s faces. I feel like I’m making my parents and my town proud. I’m definitely doing something right.” [Tulsa World]

The OSU uniforms have a cool message hidden inside. [PFB]

Mike Gundy’s biggest problem on defense cannot be solved. [PFB]

Phil Steele has OSU coming in fifth in the Big 12 this year. I can make some great points for Oklahoma State, as the Cowboys are coming off a 10-3 season, have the most returning starters in the Big 12 and are the sixth-most experienced team in the country, according to my ratings. I think the Cowboys will still have a solid year, but they were just plus-10.9 yards per game differential in Big 12 play last year (sixth-best in the league), were plus-13 in turnovers and had four net close wins last year, plus they have five Big 12 road games including Oklahoma, Baylor, TCU and Kansas State. Another hype video? Another hype video. [PFB]

Yeah boy.

Baseball News

Josh Holliday on Tyler Buffett and Trey Cobb coming back to school: “”These guys believe in Oklahoma State, they believe in what’s going on here both in school and on the field, they trust their coaches and they love the program,” Holliday said. “When you have all that positive energy coming back to you, combined with the other returning players and the newcomers, it’s a great place to start in terms of building the team chemistry and culture that’s necessary to be successful.” [okstate]
