Not a shocker here. Expansion is not happening and neither is a Big 12 network – not this year, multiple sources across the Big 12 as well as TV industry sources told HornsDigest.com. The bottom line is there is no consensus on any non-Power Five candidates to add. [Horns Digest]

It’s seriously laughable that college athletes aren’t paid. This is re: Big 12 expansion and bringing in Memphis or Cincinnati: “It’s all about net money. Can the addition of a FedEx enlarge that pie enough to make a difference for the existing schools? At the end of the day, that’s what the Big 12 is going to look for.” [ESPN]
