Special Delivery for Washington

In the midst of a terrific piece on the Rudolph-to-Washington combo, this seems the most deadly aspect of the duo.

This rep is a great example of Rudolph’s touch and ball placement to perfectly drop the ball into a favorable place for Washington to go get it. Washington does a terrific job of positioning his frame to come down with the football and he hauls the pass in with a “my ball” mentality.

Again, Washington dictates the corner with footwork in his release.

Because the duo is such a lethal combination to push the ball vertically, it allows for plays like this. [NDT Scouting]

While Mason’s deep ball and Washington’s ability to track and catch in stride are top shelf, their familiarity and chemistry aren’t excluded to open field deep balls alone.

He’s got a touch of that Dez/Blackmon “just throw it up and forget about it” that’s so easy to rely on wherever you’re at on the field.

Middle of the Pack

ESPN ranked the Big 12’s offensive lines post-spring and OSU wasn’t as high as you’d think.

5. Oklahoma State (7): Depth is lacking, but the Cowboys solidified their starting unit with the addition of graduate transfer Aaron Cochran from Cal. He will replace Victor Salako and mesh with returning starters Marcus Keyes at left guard, center Brad Lundblade, right guard Larry Williams and Zachary Crabtree at right tackle. If these guys stay healthy, Oklahoma State’s line could rank next fall in the top three to four of the Big 12. [ESPN]

The Cochran-transfer alone pulled the Pokes ahead of less experienced West Virginia and Baylor units. The main knock are depth concerns where Greg Adkins struggled to build the second and third units.

It’s hard to imagine four seniors not being able to pull this unit to the top three.
