Mason Rudolph on James Washington: “He’s just had a chip on his shoulder from high school. He didn’t have many opportunities, not a lot of recruiting attention. And he carried that chip in and he’s kept it with him.” (NewsOK)
Rudolph FIGJAM siren! “I think (all my deep balls) were all good. Those guys, they make so many plays week in and week out. It’s been James (Washington) the past two weeks. He’s been able to step up in huge situations. So, it was fun.” (NewsOK)
Will voters really keep the Pokes behind two once-defeated teams when they look every part a legitimate national title contender? Probably. (CBS)
I kept thinking all game, “This reminds me a lot of the ’13 Baylor game. Hopefully, so will the ’15 Baylor game. (CRFF)
Patterson: “Maybe the playoffs are out of line, but we can beat Oklahoma and Baylor, and you’re 11-1, and somebody else can make that decision.” (AP)
The next few weeks should be even more intriguing, especially since there doesn’t appear to be an elite team in college football this season. Does the Big 12 beat up on each other? Can Notre Dame get past Stanford that final weekend and knock out a Power 5 conference champion? Have we seen the last of the controversy? It never shakes out the way we expect it to. But more importantly, college football never disappoints. (ESPN)
J Dub: “I have some good friends that hang out at the house all the time. And that’s all they want to talk about, how we get disrespected. We just tell them ‘Look, we have TCU this week, Iowa State next week.’ We go week by week and don’t worry about it. But they just want to keep bringing it up.” (ESPN)
This seems decent. Hashtag trending.
