Why fans aren’t going to games — one reason is because the seats are too small? [NewsOK]

We made a Mike Gundy press conference Bingo card. [PFB]

Berry Tramel hates us! 1945 Oklahoma A&M was a wonderful team. But Army 1945, because of the war and the rules in place, was the likes of which college football never has seen and never likely will see again. [NewsOK]

New pod: Carson and I talk Big 12 expansion and Brad Underwood excitement. [PFB]

QB1 on Jalen McCleskey: “Jalen keeps us balanced. He’s good at finding voids, finding grass, a little like David did.” [NewsOK]

On kicker Matt Ammendola. He’s like a Bachelor contestant.

Expansion News

Iowa State’s AD: “The ADs aren’t the ones having the disagreements. When I hear people saying ‘Texas and Oklahoma this’ I laugh. I’m in the room. That’s not the case. The Big 12 exists because we have Texas and Oklahoma in the room. If we take Texas and Oklahoma out of the room, we’re the Mountain West Conference and we’re going to get $3 million.” [Yahoo]

The Big 12 didn’t expand, but it got what it wanted. [PFB]

Also this happened: In a 714-word league memo covering the league’s talking points, obtained by ESPN, the first two items instructed officials to “Indicate the Board arrived at a “Unanimous Consensus” and say “the Board was unanimous in its desire and commitment to stay at 10 members.” [ESPN]

Interesting thought here: The Longhorn Network is thought of as the bane of the Big 12’s existence, but what if I told you it might just be the best thing to ever happen to the conference? The LHN has made getting a conference network nearly impossible for the Big 12, and there is a good chance that could prove to be a good thing. Things are changing in television. On demand streaming is disrupting everything. More and more people are cutting the cord, while conference networks like the Pac-12’s are suffering, while ESPN and FOX continue to lose television subscribers. ESPN is trying to react to the new market, while the NFL is now streaming games on Twitter. [LGG]

Here is the Burns Hargis statement.

Around the League

LGG has OSU No. 3 in the conference right now. I think I would have them No. 4, but I think they’ll end up in the top three. [LGG]

The Cowboys have won 11 of the past 12 meetings, including a 58-10 win in Stillwater last season. KU’s last win over Oklahoma State was a 43-28 victory in 2007, the year the Jayhawks won the Orange Bowl. [Tulsa World]

Would be yuuuuge to get this 6’10 center over Homecoming. [PFB]

Hoops News

Jawun Evans is, according to Brad Underwood, “better than I thought he was.” I am unreasonably excited about this season. [PFB]

Brad Underwood on Lindy Waters: “I think Lindy gets the ultimate compliment from me from this standpoint: there are days he’s at practice that I don’t say anything to him, and that’s a positive. He does everything very well.” [O’Colly]

This was a cool move to put Tyrek Coger on the season tickets. [PFB]

Tony Allen picked as toughest player in the NBA by other GMs. [PFB]
