Doug Gottlieb is many things, and apparently “extremely generous” is one of them.

On Thursday, reader of the blog @pcpoke fan tweeted out this Facebook post:

Gottlieb responded with this tweet.

I understand that it’s not a national title ring or anything like that, but Gottlieb is (understandably) proud of his basketball accomplishments at OSU, as he should be. For him to offer up his ring to fill a void in the Weibergs life is nothing but class.

  1. Good Job Doug!!

  2. Doug is a stand up guy!

  3. That’s a true Cowboy gesture Doug!

Somebody should contact Jostens (or whoever made the rings & pendants). It wouldn’t surprise me if they didn’t offer to provide a new set to the Weiberg family.

    Remember the Ten.

  4. Doug has said/done a lot of things over the years toward his alma mater that make some OSU fans dislike him. But in terms of the recognition and respect he’s brought The 10 over the course of his professional career, I don’t think OSU has had a better ambassador. I love hearing stories like this one.

  5. Classy, Doug, and worthy of a Cowboy.

  6. Proud of you Doug!

  7. Classy and not unexpected from him. Good man
