Final Predictions: Oklahoma State-Kansas
Oklahoma State travels to Kansas on Saturday as a 24-point favorite over one of the worst teams in the country. Losing to Kansas would, both on paper and anecdotally, be worse than losing to Central Michigan. So yeah, let’s not lose to Kansas. Predictions for Saturday.
Kyle Porter
Player of the game: Ashton Lampkin
Bold prediction: Oklahoma State has more interceptions than Mason Rudolph has TDs.
Final score: Oklahoma State 30 | Kansas 20
I said this on the podcast on Friday, but I think slow starts against bad teams and letting them hang around might just be what this squad is. I don’t have much evidence to the contrary over the last two seasons. That’s unfortunate, because you want to rout teams like KU, but at least we get the joy of playing a lot of tight games (if you can call that feeling “joy”).
Kyle Boone
Player of the game: Justice Hill
Bold prediction: Chris Carson returns and both he and Justice Hill combine for 200 yards rushing.
Final score: Oklahoma State 35 | Kansas 24
I think Oklahoma State will start slow today, especially with an 11:00 kick and it being against arguably the worst football team in the country. The Pokes will elect not to show anything today on film for future opponents, which could make things interesting-ish, but OSU is far superior talent-wise and they will come home unscathed to set up a big matchup next weekend.
