Former Oklahoma State guard and third year pro Lane Taylor was set to become a restricted free agency this offseason, however the Packers didn’t want him to hit the market and closed a deal on Tuesday to keep him in Green Bay.

Per SB Nation, the Packers could have given Taylor a one year tender worth $1.761 million to keep him in Green Bay through the 2016 season. However, the Packers ponied up and signed Taylor to a two-year deal worth $4.15 million, with another $1 million available in incentives.
