Oklahoma State Adds Commitment from Five-star Punter
The Cowboys have added a scholarship kicker/punter to the 2017 recruiting class in East Hamilton High School prospect Jake McClure of Ooltewah, TN. Here’s what he posted on twitter to announce his commitment:
It’s been an incredible journey to get where I am now. I want to thank James Wilhoit and Kohls kicking for making me the specialist I am now because I couldnt have done it without them. I would also like to thank my friends, my brother, my girlfriend, and my parents for the constant love and support to keep me going. With that being said, I have officially committed to Oklahoma State University on full scholarship. To God be every bit of the glory!! #GoPokes
Kohls kicking is a highly respected punting/kicking training and camp. Punters aren’t usually evaluated by football scouts because it takes a special eye to see whats good and what isn’t. And Kohls ranked McClure a five-star punter and a 4.5 star kicker, ranking 12th in the country at the punter position.
It’s a big pickup that will surely continue the trend of elite punters in Stillwater with the likes of Zach Sinor and Quin Sharp. Check out highlights of McClure below:
