This is one of the biggest Big 12 lines of the Gundy Era.

10.5 points is a big line against a 9-2 team, but especially in Bedlam.

I’m actually kind of surprised. I thought it would be seven, maybe eight at the most.

But 10.5?!

Here are the last eight Bedlam lines, which team covered, and which team won:

2005: OU by 19 in Norman — OU won and covered
2006: OU by five in Stillwater — OU won and covered
2007: OU by 13 in Norman — OU won and covered
2008: OU by seven in Stillwater — OU won and covered
2009: OU by eight in Norman — OU won and covered
2010: Oklahoma State by two in Stillwater — OU won and covered
2011: Oklahoma State by three in Stillwater — OSU won and covered
2012: OU by six in Norman — OU won, OSU covered
2013: Oklahoma State by 10.5 in Stillwater — ???

OSU has only covered twice and won once in the Gundy era.

I’ll say it gets its second win this Saturday but not its third cover.

Also, this is the third-biggest Bedlam line during the Gundy era but the other two (OU in 2005 and 2007) were against not good OSU teams. Pokes were 4-6 going into that 2005 game and 6-5 going into 2007.

Again, OU is 9-2 and ranked No. 18.

Finally, not only is this a big Bedlam line, it’s one of the 15 biggest lines of the Big 12 era for Gundy — and most of the other ones were Kansas, Baylor, or Iowa State.

Curious, to say the least.
