The @WesLunt Saga

I love Twitter. Love it. It’s given people like me an opportunity to connect with people like you and have some fun during football and basketball season.

I’ve made friends because of Twitter (Haney, Ubben, OKC Dave) and hopefully entertained you guys.

Today, however, was everything I hate about Twitter:

The entire thing filled up my feed all day and on this, the eve eve of OSU defending its Big 12 crown, all people were worried about was what an 18-year-old was saying via social media and an athletic department that surely has better things to do.

Like, you know, get around to releasing that update of that iPhone app they promised us two weeks ago.

Let me know when the games start.

  1. Such a joke. Can’t believe they would get their knickers twisted over that. What happened to their sense of humor, or did they ever have one?

  2. And the realfake Lunt appears to be actually the kind that could “do harm” versus the other one… Although I don’t even know what “do harm” means…

  3. So dumb. If it was something like @wesslunt I could understand. There are so many parody accounts out there. Gavin should not have even mentioned it. It’s only news because of the Okstate athletic department. Let’s play some football

  4. Oh well…there goes your media credentials for 2013…

  5. Gavin takes himself and Social Media way too serious. It’s not an official publication of any kind and has no clout. It’s a way for people to pass time and connect. Take some deep breaths and move on, my man. It makes OSU look very small town and unprofessional to be concerned about what individuals say about it on Twitter.

  6. fakeweslunt was kinda funny. realfakeweslunt is just crude.
