Three Halftime Thoughts For Oklahoma State-Kansas State

Published

on

Oklahoma State is down 28-20 at halftime against Kansas State, in what has been a very bizarre contest so far. Here are three quick observations from the first half.

1. We’ve accepted the fact that we do not have a run game

I get the whole “take what the defense” gives you thing, but there was hardly any effort to rush the ball in the first half. They finished with 12 rushing yards. Rudolph finished the first half with 27 pass attempts and 2 touchdowns. With the way the first half went, I would be surprised if we saw much change in the attack.

2. Kody Cook was FIFTH STRING?!

Seriously? This kid is playing out of his mind.

3. Penalties are breaking OSU’s back

On the first drive for Kansas State, a pass interference call ultimately lead to a touchdown for the wildcats. Then with less than three minutes in the second quarter, Rudolph dropped a dime to Jhajuan Seales to set up first and goal, but was ultimately called back for holding. Two huge plays that have been absolute momentum killers for the Cowboys.
