WATCH: Highlights of 2017 Safety Pledge Playing QB for Denton Guyer
Oklahoma State’s lone commitment at safety for the 2017 class Thabo Mwaniki is more than just a secondary defender. He’s also the backup quarterback for Texas power Denton Guyer. And after QB1 went down two weeks ago with a minor injury, Mwaniki, who is a freak athlete with a surprisingly strong arm, got the start at QB.
Check out some of the highlights of Mwaniki playing signal-caller and filling in to lead his team to a 35-23 win over Wylie. He finished the game with 19 carries for 121 yards and a touchdown, and also added 13 yards through the air on 6-of-9 passing.
