Watch: Women’s Football 101 Behind the Scenes
Oklahoma State recently hosted their 11th annual Football 101 event for the women who chose to attend. The ladies who choose to attend the event get the opportunity to do essentially everything football players get to do that fans don’t typically get to do or so.
“We try to have those women experience things about Cowboy football that people just don’t know until they get behind the walls,” Mack Butler, Director of Football Operations said. “They get to experience a practice, go down stairs and be in the weight room, throw up some weight, tape their ankles, eat at the training table with the fellas, have a position meeting with the coaches. It’s just a big time day.”
It’s really a pretty cool event OSU does for the ladies to get them integrated with the program and make them feel comfortable. Comfortable enough that one woman accepted a challenge to tackle defensive tackle Ben Hughes during the camp!
