Oklahoma State improved to 2-1 (or 3-0 depending on how you look at these things) on Saturday evening in Stillwater largely on the backs of Mason Rudolph (who threw for 540 yards) and James Washington (who caught 296 yards worth of passes).

Let’s look at the 11 best stats from Saturday’s game.

44: Mason Rudolph broke the single-half passing yards record by 44 yards with 372 in the first half. The previous record of 328 was set by Brandon Weeden vs. Tulsa in 2010.

12: James Washington broke the single-half receiving yards record by 12 yards with 231 yards receiving in the first half. The previous record was set when Adarius Bowman had 219 in the second half at Kansas in 2009.

38: Mason Rudolph broke the single-game passing record by 38 yards on Saturday. He threw for 540 yards besting Brandon Weeden’s 502-yard performance against KSU in 2011. Those are the only two 500-yard performances in school history.

8: The best average yards-per-reception number in 2015 was 25 by Mack Hollins of UNC. Washington did him eight better on Saturday by averaging 33 yards per reception (!)

0: That’s the number of QBs and WRs who have games this season with more passing yards and receiving yards than Mason Rudolph and James Washington did on Saturday. Second to Washington is KD Cannon with 214 yards in the Baylor-Rice game Friday night. Rudolph tied Pat Mahomes’ 540 yards against ASU last week.

0: QBs with more passing yards against Pitt in school history. Rudolph’s yardage total is the most passing yards Pitt has ever allowed, surpassing the 461 amassed by Toledo in 2003.

4: Mike Gundy is now four wins from 100. One hundred!

6: In the Mike Yurcich era (2013-present), OSU has had running backs post 100-yard rushing games against Power five teams six times. Here they are:

  1. Desmond Roland: 219 yards vs. ISU (2013)
  2. Desmond Roland: 144 yards vs. OU (2013)
  3. Desmond Roland: 123 yards vs. Washington (2015)
  4. Tyreek Hill: 102 yards vs. KSU (2014)
  5. Jeremy Smith: 102 yards vs. KSU (2013)
  6. Rennie Childs: 101 yards vs. Pitt (2016)

13: OSU has now had 13 games in which two receivers had 100+ yards in the same game. The combined record for yards had previously been 351 (Blackmon and Tracy Moore against KSU in 2011). Washington and Jhajuan Seales combined for 425!

6: Games in which Mike Yurcich offenses have averaged 8.0+ yards per play. That’s 14 percent of the time. Compare that with 15 percent for Dana and 19 percent for Monken.

65: Zach Sinor’s 65-yard punt on Saturday tied the longest of his career.
