Josh Thompson Talks OSU Offer, Names Cowboys in Top Group
Oklahoma State coaches have been hitting the trail hard searching to fill out the 2017 recruiting class. One position of need in the 2017 class is cornerback, and they recently made an offer to 2017 prospect Josh Thompson of Nacogdoches, Texas.
Thompson’s recruiting has been steadily rising over the last month, with offers from Minnesota, Wyoming, Washington State, Ark. State, Utah, Colorado State, North Texas, Houston, Texas Tech, TCU, Kansas State, Kansas, Mizzou and OSU in the month of May alone.
He talked with PFB briefly about what the OSU offer meant and what he knows about the program. “I know they have a great football history and also my favorite corner Justin Gilbert came from Oklahoma State,” he said. “So that’s what makes them [OSU] great to me.”
Thompson is a 6-foot defensive back who, with now more than 23 offers reported on 247sports.com, tells me he plans to make his decision regarding his school of choice either before or after football season.
But at the moment, OSU is sitting in a good spot in the list that has offered.
Added Thompson: “The top schools I say would be at the top of the list is OSU, TCU, Texas Tech, and Houston.”
