Barry J. Sanders is officially on campus
Stanford graduate transfer running back Barry J. Sanders graduated this past weekend and according to two sources close to the football program, was on campus Tuesday and attending team meetings. It was first reported by gopokes.com.
Now that Sanders is present and accounted for, it will be interesting to see how the running back situation shakes out. The presumptive starter Chris Carson is back for his second season and Rennie Childs, the veteran of the bunch, is headed into his fourth and final year in Stillwater. On top of Childs, Carson and Sanders, OSU also brings back sophomore Jeff Carr, freshmen Justice Hill and LaDarren Brown, and Jakeem Johnson.
Sanders will play his final year of college eligibility in Stillwater, the place where his father won a Heisman trophy nearly 30 years ago.
