Barry J. Sanders Transfers to Oklahoma State
He’s coming home!
Barry J. Sanders is transferring from Stanford to Oklahoma State. Sanders told the Oklahoman on Thursday of his plans.
“They’ve got my full commitment and I’m looking forward to being there come late June,” said Sanders. “Just being a part of the program and being able to get a chance to officially say I’m a Poke will be something special for me personally.”
The rest of the interview is also excellent. You should go read it.
I will be joining the Oklahoma State football program following my graduation from Stanford in June #GoPokes?? https://t.co/LM07deUR6O

Because Sanders will graduate this summer, he will be eligible to play in the fall. That’s a good thing for Mike Gundy’s depleted backfield too. Sanders didn’t play much behind Christian McCaffrey, but when he did, he was pretty good.

Sanders averaged exactly 6 yards per touch from the line of scrimmage and 6.2 on the ground per carry last season. Oklahoma State’s 2015 averaged 3.6 yards on the ground per touch. Needless to say, I’m excited. By the way, while I wrote this post all I could think about was this video.
