Brad Underwood Pursuing Shooting Guard Tyson Jolly
As soon as Brad Underwood was hired at Oklahoma State, I wrote the quick hire could pay off big with top recruit Tyson Jolly, a Putnam City West Star who was recently released from his letter of intent from Cal.
It’s kind of a no-brainer pursuit. Jolly is a four-star shooting guard who averaged over 20 points per game in his senior season at PC West down the road from Stillwater, and he spent the last year in prep school before making the leap to Div. I.
Shortly after his release from Cal, Scout.com reported that schools like Texas, Missouri, Florida, Ohio State, Xavier, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Marquette, Washington State and Georgia Tech all reached out to Jolly to gauge his interest.
According to a report from The Oklahoman, newly minted head coach Brad Underwood is now pursuing Jolly, and made an in-home visit with him recently.
Jolly is a 6-foot-5 shooting guard who, at this point in the recruiting process, is a tough find because most 2016 prospects are already locked in with a school. According to the report, he is also drawing interest from Baylor and will visit Waco, Texas this weekend.
