Court Allows Release of Joe Mixon Tape … and It Vanishes!
You can’t write the script any better than this. On Monday, the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals ruled that the infamous Joe Mixon video is public record and could be released to literally anybody in the public who would ask for it.
The Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals rules the Joe Mixon punch video IS a public record and SHOULD be released.

So that’s interesting. And probably bad for OU. Fox sent some people over to get the tape from the court and … you’re not going to believe this … it wasn’t there.
Court now saying they don't have a copy of the Mixon tape. It was played in court and was supposed to be preserved.

Surely there isn’t anything shady going on here! This was the best retort I got on Twitter, by the way.

But seriously, it’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out. Somebody has to have the tape, right? Right?!
I wrote about the Mixon thing last year. Nothing has really changed for me. It’s dumb that they kept him and dumb if they kick him off simply because people see the video.
