Cowboys Get Commitment From No. 1 Offensive Tackle in Kansas
Offensive line coach Greg Adkins earned his first verbal commitment from a mammoth offensive lineman.
Oklahoma State picked up commitment No. 8 in the 2016 class on Sunday, when offensive lineman Teven Jenkins verbally committed to the Pokes.

Jenkins is the No. 1 offensive tackle prospect in Kansas according to Scout, who also held offers from Missouri, Kansas State, Louisville, Nebraska, and Oklahoma State. At 6-foot-6 and nearly 300 pounds, it’s easy to understand why Jenkins is a hot commodity in recruiting circles.
“I had my mind made up before I came down here,” Jenkins told the Topeka Capital Journal. “Their O-Line coach (Greg Adkins) has kept in really good touch with me and has started building a relationship and I started getting really comfortable with him.
“I feel like I’m the most comfortable with him of any coach and I see myself being a good fit here.”
Jenkins becomes the first offensive line commitment in the 2016 class, and may be able to compete early in his career with his size and agility. With a quick glimpse of his film, you can see he’s a bully on the field with a mean streak that separates him from the rest.
