OU in the title game? Why would anyone expect that? Broyles went down and OU floundered. What happened in the past 6 months to change that? And for that matter – OSU ending up in the “Big XII” 2nd spot? Pretty lofty as well. Phil Steele needs to share what he’s smoking.

They were my pick for the most overrated team in the preseason last year. I’m with you. I don’t understand it. Maybe it was there impressive losses to Virginia and Wake Forest last year, or was it that massive 18-14 win over Notre Dame in the Citrus Bowl?

I don’t get the OU hype anymore than the Florida State hype really. Why is OU getting picked #1 yet again? On what basis? When’s the last time they won the NC… 2002? They looked plain silly in the Bedlam game last year. It just doesn’t make sense.

What is the over/ under that the piece from “Wait until Next Season” regarding the Samples recruit is just sour-grapes? In any event, half the fun for me is evaluating a recruiting class years afterwards to determine the coaching staff’s success in the evaluation process.
If the post from Wait Til Next Season is correct, I don’t have a problem with it. I would “waste” a scholarship on the son of the head coach at Dallas Skyline and I am clearly not the only person. Look at all the people that OFFERED this kid. WOW!
