It was pretty surreal to see NYC submerged last night. Shout out to any PFB readers living there.
I’m starting to think the CBS guys like OSU more than the PFB ones. (CBS Sports)
Good Cooper Bassett interview here. (Scout)
John Hoover on winning titles. (Tulsa World)
Here are all the quotes from yesterday’s media session. (okstate)

Good call here.
Something that just occurred to me (and was probably said afterward): #OkState ended TCU’s streak of scoring 20+ and OSU is the new leader

Video on LDR here. Anybody want to be me he never steps foot on OSU’s campus?
Haha, @carsonc5 submitted this after Monken was called “a schemer” yesterday. Well done.
Yes, Saturday night should be a blast.

LDR sounds like he’s cool with coming here and competing with/waiting on Lunt but I agree with you. He’ll probably never see Stillwater. Monken may have to do some serious “scheming” to talk him into coming.
Why would you worry about LDR coming? If I’m him this is the last place I come. He’ll redshirt and MAYBE get two years of starting. If he’s any good he’s going someplace where he can have a more immediate impact. Let’s face it…I think we’ve seen enough of Lunt to know he’s not getting past him on the depth chart, and he would be hard pressed to beat out Walsh.
As I said before I agree that he’ll go elsewhere but he’s got loads of potential and more football IQ than you can imagine. As the video hints, what if he becomes the next Peyton Manning. I don’t know about you but I’d sure like to watch that develop in Stillwater. Hypothetically, what if Wes just lights it up for the next 2 years (wouldn’t surprise me at all) then goes pro after his Jr. year? If LDR came he’d probably redshirt his 1st year then have 3 years to play. That’s best case scenario but can you imagine losing an top notch QB to the draft only to have his replacement come in and be even better? The fact we’re even discussing situations like this makes me giddy at how far the program has come in the last 10 years.
Well said! Your last line says it all about being an O-State fan right now.
CT got the least of the hurricane and little rain (relatively speaking), but the coastal areas took quite a beating, and still have what is expected to be an abnormally high tide around noon today. LI, NYC, and NJ got hammered, and I suspect lower Manhattan is a complete disaster. There were reports that Battery Park had a storm surge of around 13 feet.
Last week against TCU and now this week against K-State, different sports writers use the injury to “starter” JW Walsh as the reason to pick against the Cowboys. At first it was annoying that people who are paid to follow sports knows so little about the topic they write, but now it’s just becoming a joke.
That’s one thing about your site, Kyle I appreciate – you and OKC Dave do a good job of making sure of your facts and not twisting them to help prove your point.
