Berry Tramel has OSU 9th in his weekly power poll. (NewsOK)

Todd McShay on Weeden: “Weeden’s accuracy and decision-making were spotty in 2011. He got away with a lot of questionable throws and decisions due to the Cowboys’ wide-open offense and the ability of WR Justin Blackmon to bail him out.” Weeden hit on 72.3%, good for 5th in the country. I’m amazed. (ESPN Insider)

  1. I don’t know if that video is of the right Kevin Peterson. Looks like the video is a TN kid and the OSU commit is from OK.

  2. Did Weeden spit in McShay’s kool-aid? Or did he only watch the ULL game? Because I recall Weeden destroying Foles, outplaying Tannehill, annihilating Griffin, embarassing Jones, and doing everything just as well as Luck. I’ll say this right now, of all the QBs in this year’s draft, I’d put big money on Weeden leading his team to the most wins next year in the NFL.

  3. Regarding the blocks stat: here is the top 10 list of blocks / FGA in the Sutton-Ford era.

    1) 1.60 – Jurick, Philip ’12 (Jr)
    2) 0.71 – Williams, Andre ’03 (Sr)
    3) 0.54 – Williams, Andre ’00 (Fr)
    4) 0.53 – Dove, Marcus ’06 (So)
    5) 0.43 – Williams, Andre ’01 (So)
    6) 0.35 – Dove, Marcus ’07 (Jr)
    7) 0.33 – Cobbins, Mike ’12 (Fr)
    8) 0.32 – Williams, Andre ’02 (Jr)
    9) 0.22 – Brown, Anthony ’09 (Sr)
    10) 0.22 – Miller, Jason ’04 (Sr)

Jurick is averaging 3 SHOT ATTEMPTS PER 40 MINUTES. I appreciate the defensive focus here at Oklahoma State, but c’mon big man — don’t be afraid to put up a shot. Frans Steyn averaged 7 FGA per 40 minutes in his career for goodness sake.

Also it’s probably not a great thing that a team that struggles to score has two guys on this top 10 list.

  4. Went to Senior Bowl practice yesterday, Weeden looked pretty decent to me. And MMartin is a football player. Should a long, productive pro career.

Has McShay ever played? Wonder who he gets his info from?

  5. Fascinating look at what SportsCenter has been talking about.

After reading that I envisioned the two guys in a room going over scripts like in Good Morning Vietnam. Lengthen this, cut that, and never mention this subject again.

  6. Pete was better all around offensively but Desmond had the “Dez Bryant punt return house call factor” the oh $hit effect. Gottleib would hit him with a no look dime from half-court or on an in bounds play in which DMase would proceed to gorilla dunk … backwards…..that could totally change the momentum of the game. And also he played good on the ball defense, just not against Nolan Johnson.

  7. Are McShay and Thayer Evans the same person?

  8. What is the “off-hand tap” mentioned in the Tweet about BW?
