Mason Rudolph was homeschooled. This is not a drill. There are dozens of us! Awesome work here by Mark Cooper. [Tulsa World]

Good stuff here on how Mike Gundy is trying to stay ahead of the technology curve. Gundy: “It would be a waste of oxygen for me to talk about how important technology is. If we don’t try and stay ahead of the game in that part of the world, then we’re really lessening our chances to be successful in recruiting quality student athletes that need to come here and graduate and perform on the football field, because that’s the world they live in.” [NewsOK]

Five thoughts on the depth chart from Kyle B. [PFB]

Bard Lundblade on the OL: “Two things. Development of the guys that started last year. We’ve come a long way from spring and summer workouts. Having another spring, another 15 practices, and also another summer of workouts and preseason camp to continue to get stronger. But also our depth is going to help us a lot. We’ve added eight or nine freshmen and a couple juco guys. We actually have a full meeting room. That’s something we haven’t had since I got here.” [Tulsa World]

Bill C. says there’s a 86 percent chance OSU wins nine or fewer games. [Football Study Hall]

Vincent Taylor on Jarrell Owens hunting wild hogs with his bare hands: “That’s like one of his hobbies. Like how we play Xbox, one of his hobbies is hunting hogs.” [NewsOK]

OSU went through a dress rehearsal on Saturday for Game 1. The script, which includes diversions such as a weather delay, also calls for an overtime at the end. The team starts by going through the full pre-game warm-up routine and then performs the walk through, which is non-contact, against scout teams representing, in this case, Southeastern Louisiana. It’s a good prep to have everybody comfortable. [Go Pokes]

Pokes in the Pros

This is pretty cool.

Uniform News

Matt Davis on the best uni moment of the Gundy Era: “A couple years ago, against Texas Tech — it was a Thursday night game, a national television game on ESPN — we sent our players out in a plainish white helmet. They were like, ‘What are you doing?’ We sent them out for stretch and pregame. While they were out there, me and my assistant, my dad and a couple of students, we got the orange helmets and put them in their locker. And when they came in after pregame, they were absolutely jacked. Those guys were absolutely fired up.” [NewsOK]

New icy white cleats. Whooo boy. [PFB]

Ashton Lampkin: “In the great words of Deion Sanders, ‘You look good, you play good.’” [NewsOK]

Around the Country

This is like Cowboys Forever. Sounded like a great idea. Went very poorly.

Golf News

OSU ranked No. 4 in the preseason golf poll. Texas is No. 1. [Big 12]

A lot on the line today as Rickie Fowler and Patrick Reed duel for $1.5M and (more importantly) a Ryder Cup slot. [CBS]
