One More

Oklahoma State has one game against Texas to win the Big 12 Tournament and advance to the NCAA Regionals. Incredible.

“I think we are just playing fearless right now,” Ryan Cash said. “I think that everybody is just doing their own role. Everybody is playing together and continuing to play as one unit.” [Tulsa World]

The win would be OSU’s 32nd conference crown but just its second Big 12 Tournament title. Game time at 1 p.m. on FSN. Also, good news is Texas had to play two games against TCU after OSU played yesterday because they lost the first one.

A Failed Success

This was a quiet addition to Oklahoma State’s 2017 class in March.

Had Larry Joubert not failed three classes during the 2016 fall semester at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, he never would have signed to play football at Oklahoma State. Call it an odd twist of academic fate, forcing Joubert to re-examine his priorities, and allowing OSU to snag a late offensive line addition to its 2017 class. [NewsOK]

Oklahoma State has done a really good job of filling in its holes (especially on the lines) with Juco transfers over the last few years. Ideal? No, but it can be a necessity when, say, your old OL coach doesn’t sign a single player out of high school.

OSU and NCAA Notes

Why OSU football players (among many others) want to go to Green Bay … OSU is outside the top eight at the NCAAs after two rounds at Rich Harvest Farms (zero concerns) … Pokes involved in three of the top six Big 12 games this season and four of the top nine … Bricktown gets rave reviews from all re: Big 12 Tourney.

This wasn’t the play of the game, but it was pretty sweet.

This is impressive.
