Defensive Tackle Fua Leilua Reaffirms Commitment to Oklahoma State
After making an official visit to TCU over the weekend, Snow College defensive tackle recruit Fua Leilua has decided to shut his recruitment down. He was considering TCU and Utah State, despite his commitment to Oklahoma State. And he announced on twitter he’s sticking with the Cowboys.
After a lot of thought and praying I want to first off thank God and my family for everything they have done,” he said on twitter. “I also want to personally thank each University that has had faith in me and has offered me an opportunity to play for them. However with just 2 weeks left to go until signing day and out of respect for each of these universities I want to let them know that I am and will continue to be COMMITTED to Oklahoma State University. It’s been a long process and a stressful one but I’m going to stick with my day 1s.

Leilua is a big get (and keep) for defensive line coach Joe Bob Clements. With Vincent Taylor off to the NFL and Mote Maile finishing his career off after two productive seasons, there will be playing time available and Leilua could slot in immediately given his experience.
Oklahoma State has three defensive tackles coming in the 2017 class with high school senior Brendon Evers, junior college prospect Enoch Smith Jr. and Leilua.
