Dez Bryant, Josh Norman Scuffle During and After Thanksgiving Matchup

Things got chippy between Dez Bryant and Washington Redskins defensive back Josh Norman during their teams Thanksgiving day matchup on Thursday.

It started when Norman made a bit of an underhanded play, twisting Bryant’s leg after the pro-bowl receiver was already down.

From that point, tempers escalated quickly — and Bryant even grabbed his facemask after the game in a heated exchange.

In the locker room after the game, Dez didn’t mince words about Norman.

“That guy is soft, man,” Bryant told the Dallas News after the game. “He is really soft. I was telling him, Washington needs to get their money back. You’re supposed to be a lock down corner, you can’t even play man to man.”

This isn’t the first time the two have had their issues. Last season, when Norman’s Carolina Panther’s played the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, he suggested a similar idea concerning Bryant’s contract he received from the Cowboys when he said Dallas should “get Dez’ 70 mil back.”

After the game, Bryant went to Twitter to air out his feelings on the matter.

Dez retweeted a video clip of himself beating Norman on a route on Thursday.

Then addressed the on-the-field, off-the-field discourse of Norman.

Here was Norman’s statement about he and Bryant’s exchange, which he later recanted.

Bryant added his two cents on Norman’s accusation.

Bryant put the issue to rest on Twitter once he had apparently had some time to reflect on the matter.

Four days later, it seems both have decided to move past the tiff, with Bryant having this to say.

“I wish I never did what I did, but that’s OK because it’s over with now,” Bryant said Monday. “I’m not even focused on that. I’m not even fitting to open up another can. It’s all said and done. I wish I never done it. It happened. It’s over with.”

Cowboys-Redskins is one of the most heated rivalries in the NFL, so it sounds like this heated exchange between two of the most polarizing figures in the league may just be put on pause until they next time they meet on the field.
