Four-star safety names OSU in top 5
Oklahoma State did not sign a safety prospect in the 2016 class, and with Jordan Sterns and Auburn transfer Derrick Moncrief both nearing expiration of eligibility, the safety position will be a big point of emphasis in the 2017 recruiting class.
On Sunday, four-star safety Derrick Tucker from Texas powerhouse Manvel, named the Pokes in his top five along with Houston, TCU, UCLA and Texas.

Coach Marcus Arroyo has been a big recruiter of Tucker since last year, and the relationship being built is clearly paying dividends. It always helps when coaches on staff don’t get poached by other schools. The longstanding relationship between the two, along with a lure for big playing time early in his career could make OSU a very enticing landing spot for one of the best defensive backs in the 2017 class.
