Frank Martin on the Brad Underwood Hire: ‘That Is Phenomenal’
Brad Underwood coached under Frank Martin from 2007 to 2013 as an assistant coach at Kansas State and South Carolina.
Martin had nothing but great things to say when he was surprised by the news in a post-NIT game press conference on Monday.
“That is phenomenal,” said Martin. “He’s a Big 12 guy through and through.
“No one deserves the opportunity more than him. He’s loyal. He’s honest. He just works. Stillwater got themselves a heck of a basketball coach.”
Martin goes on to get Oklahoma Joe’s confused with Eskimo Joe’s. Oh well. The Underwood stuff was great.
