Gundy Hasn’t Washed Hair In Days, Stoops Says He Likes The Mullet
Mike Gundy said on Monday that he has not washed his hair in three days and he’s not sure what to do with his mullet after this season is over.
“We had Thanksgiving then I was deer hunting,” so I hadn’t washed my hair in like three days. I noticed it looked a little different then so I went ahead and washed it this morning … it’s not really curly, but it’s a mullet now. It’s definitely hit the mullet stage. At some point I’m going to have to decide what to do with it.”

Bob Stoops weighed in on the mullet in the Big 12 teleconference earlier in the day.
“It’s growing on me through the season,” Stoops said on the media call. “Maybe I wasn’t such a fan early on, but I’ve come to really like it.”
He also talked more seriously about his relationship with the head coach in Stillwater.
“He’s done an awesome job. His teams are always disciplined and fundamentally sound. Mike has done a great job. I’ve always felt that way. He’s done it the right way. We always communicate well and have a lot to talk about when we’re at coaching meetings. I think a lot of Mike as a person and a coach.”
I hope the mullet is flowing around in front of Stoops as Gundy does laps on his field to celebrate his second Big 12 title in six seasons.
