Here Are Two Blind CFP Resumes, Which is Better?
I thought this would be fun. A blind resume test. Which team would you rank inside the top four?
Team A = Ohio State
Team B = Oklahoma State
Ohio State has had a worse offense against a worse schedule than Oklahoma State but, in the words of the committee, “their best football is ahead of them.”
Oklahoma State, on the other hand, has beaten a top 15 team (TCU) while Ohio State hasn’t even played a top 25 team. I’m not saying Ohio State isn’t better than Oklahoma State or that, at the end of the year, the rankings should reflect that.
What I’m saying is that right now Ohio State being ranked ahead of Oklahoma State in any poll is a farce. If you’re not going to have beaten any top 25 teams, you better be housing people. Ohio State has, on average, beaten teams by three more points than Oklahoma State. That’s not housing folks.
I expect this from the AP and the Coaches. I don’t from the CFP committee. I thought they were supposed to be better than that. Oklahoma State has the better resume and the Buckeyes are floating by because they’re the champs.
And there’s not really anyone outside of Ohio State who doesn’t think this.
