Houston Area 4-Star Receiver Names OSU in Top Schools
After nabbing commitments in January, February and early March, it’s been quiet on the recruiting trail. The 2018 class currently has four commitments, but with scholarships in high demand and schools aiming to get those spots filled before summer, you’ll start to see more commitments in the coming weeks and months. OSU has made a habit of capitalizing around spring football and the spring game.
For now, it’s the time of the season when prospects are narrowing their lists. The latest recruit is four-star wide receiver Al’Vonte Woodard, who named OSU in his top schools this week. Also on his list is Baylor, West Virginia, Clemson, Texas, Indiana, LSU, Ohio State, Texas A&M and Ole Miss.
Woodard is a big name to keep an eye on in the talent rich state of Texas playing for Lamar High School. With close to 30 Division I offers, it’s easy to see why schools love him. He’s coming off a junior campaign in which he tallied 42 receptions for 909 yards and 15 touchdowns. With a 6-foot-1 frame and breakaway speed, he will continue to be a big name in the coming months to watch.
