Important Visitors for Big Recruiting Weekend

Published

on

Oklahoma State is set for a big recruiting weekend in Stillwater with the NCAA contact period officially back open on Friday. As has become the norm in recent years, OSU will have a blowout type recruiting weekend where they try to bring in as many recruits as possible in one weekend.

Since that is this weekend, here are some of the big-name recruits expected be on campus and where the Cowboys stand with each.

Keondre Wudtee — QB

Wudtee is a former Louisiana Tech commit, who opened his options up just days after receiving an offer from the Pokes. Nick Starkel opened his recruitment up which leaves the Cowboys without a scholarship quarterback, but Wudtee is an incredible talent and seems to be very high on OSU. An impressive official visit would go a long way to sealing a commitment from the standout from Bossier City, LA.

Tramonda Moore — OL

Moore officially named the Oklahoma Sooners as his leader in the recruiting process, but the Sooners have already had a chance to make their final statement by stealing an early official visit. Although the John Marshall (OKC) standout has been on campus to visit multiple times, he hasn’t been on an official visit. Now is the time to roll out the red carpet for the big man – all 6-6, 330-pounds of him.

Audie Omotosho — WR

Oklahoma State has commitments from two receivers in the 2016 class – Dillon Stoner and Tyrell Alexander. If you were to evaluate all of them, including Omotosho, I would bet that Omotosho appears to be the most college ready prospect. He’s fast, physical, and extremely talented. At 6-2, 190, he fits the part of an early contributor – one that may be needed to replace the production of Brandon Sheperd and David Glidden.

Marcel Southall — DT

Southall is a big-time defensive tackle from Duncanville, Texas with offers from OU, Bama, and many more. Although he seems like a pipe dream, I’ll remind you about Darrion Daniels last season, who chose OSU over Arkansas, LSU, OU, Baylor, and plenty more. If Joe Bob Clements can do one thing, it’s recruit. And Southall also has the fact that playing time should be readily available upon his arrival. Many consider him to be OU bound, but OSU has a chance to make a favorable impression and sell the program to him this weekend.
