Injured Markel Brown Will Sit Out Preseason for Nets
Markel Brown recently injured himself while hooping at … Cameron Indoor?
After Markel Brown sat out the team’s inaugural preseason game against Fenerbahce Ulker, the Nets officially ruled Brown out for the remainder of the postseason to recover from a left oblique strain.
Brown said Monday night that the injury was a “freak accident” that occurred during a passing drill at Duke. “I made a turn and felt a pop.”
Brown is in year two of a $1.3 million contract. If he is retained in 2016, he will make another $1.1 million. Must be nice to have some hops.
I’m excited about Markel’s second spin around the NBA. He was good in his rookie campaign (great, at times) and has a chance to have a real career as a pro.

His CARMELO, however, is not all that great. Here are his comps.
Nevertheless, hopefully No. 22 can get himself right before the season cranks up later this month. Otherwise? I blame Coach K.
