Is Dez Bryant Coming Back in Two Weeks?

Dez Bryant might be back by the time the Cowboys travel to New York to play the Giants in Week 7.

It was previously thought that Dez Bryant would be out until Thanksgiving (or longer) when he broke his foot in the same manner as Kevin Durant earlier this year.

We forgot about who Dez is apparently.

“Dez, of course, is Superman,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on Tuesday. “I say that without a smile. He heals extraordinarily quick. His procedure went well. He’s sound with the procedure. Everything they did, by the way, the graft all that, it enhances his chance to get out there. I think he’s got a chance to do it after the bye.”

His son Stephen agreed.

“I think this week he’ll still be a little limited in what we’ll push him to do. Then the week after that, we expect him to start to really work back in and have a real shot to play after the bye week.”

The Cowboys play Tommy B. and the Pats this week, have a bye and then will play at the New York Giants in Week 7. That timeline seems, uh, ambitious for somebody who had a bone graft and screw thrown into one of his feet.

But if anyone is going to come back early and be elite …

I know Brandon Weeden is rooting for it.
