Jawun Evans Makes Maui All-Tournament Team
After leading the Cowboys to a 2-1, third-place finish in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational, Jawun Evans was recognized as a member of the All-Tournament team.
Evans finished second in the tournament in scoring (26.0 per game), third in assists (4.3 per game) and second in steals (2.7 per game).
Here’s a highlight video of his 30-point performance in the Cowboys’ loss to UNC.
On the year, Evans is averaging 24.7 point per game (1st in the Big 12), 5.3 assists per game, 2.8 steals and shooting above 56 percent from three.
The other members of the All-Tournament team included:
- North Carolina forward Kennedy Meeks
- UConn guard Jalen Adams
- Chaminade guard Rohndell Goodwin
- Wisconsin forward Ethan Happ
North Carolina guard Joel Berry II was picked as the Dr. Sue Wesselkamper Most Valuable Player.
