Jawun Evans Named to Bob Cousy Award Watch List
Sophomore star point guard Jawun Evans has been named to the Bob Cousy Award Watch List, it was announced on Monday. The prestigious award that began in 2003 is presented to college basketball’s top player at the point guard position, and only 20 players were named to the watch list which you can see below:
Evans was named the Big 12 freshman of the year last year, despite missing a chunk of the second half of the season after suffering a shoulder injury. He averaged 12.9 points, 4.9 assists and 4.4 rebounds per contest while shooting 48% from three and 47% from field goal range as a true frosh and showed flashes of super stardom along the way.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLPyeuG1l2c
