Joe Mixon Meeting the Media in Miami Was Embarrassing
Where do we start here? My thoughts on the Joe Mixon-OU situation are well documented. That he’s still on the team is both silly and predicated upon the fact that no video of him punching a woman has been released.
On Tuesday, Mixon was handed over to the media at the Orange Bowl for (I believe) the first time since the incident his freshman year. The media there was told to ask football only questions. It … did not go well. I’m not even sure why it happened or who made it happen.
“I told you I’m not going to answer that,” Mixon said at one point. “You keep asking, but I already told you that’s not happening.”
Reporter: How would you describe yourself?

Asked Mixon if he feels sorry about what happened. "I won't answer that." pic.twitter.com/lHVCIkWDYz

And the football only questions thing is a little iffy to begin with since it seems nobody knows who that mandate came from.
Re: the Joe Mixon football-only media mandate: I'm told it came from Orange Bowl officials, & OU did not instruct them to do so.
