Jordan Brailford Will Redshirt In 2016 Due to Injury
On Monday Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy announced that defensive end Jordan Brailford would receive a medical redshirt.
No surprise here, but Mike Gundy confirmed R-So. #OKstate DE Jordan Brailford will receive a redshirt year with a lingering stress fracture.

The redshirt sophomore from Booker T. Washington (Tulsa, Ok) played 10 games for OSU last season, tallying 23 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, a sack and three QB hurries.
With the departure of starters Emmanuel Ogbah and Jimmy Bean, Brailford seemed destined for an increased role before suffering a stress fracture of his right leg during fall camp. He has yet to see the field in 2016.
Surprisingly OSU hasn’t necessarily missed one of the guys who was going to fill in for Bean and Ogbah as Cole Walterscheid and Tralund Webber have filled in nicely alongside Jarrell Owens. Those three have combined for 18 tackles for loss.
Brailford joins senior wide receiver Marcell Ateman as Cowboys that qualify for medical redshirts giving them an additional year of eligibility although Ateman will likely just use his regular redshirt since he played as a true freshman.
