Looking back: Thayer Evans calls OSU ‘Chokie State’
Thayer Evans “doesn’t have an axe to grind” and yet he says some pretty brash stuff about OSU.
UPDATE: This video might not work on mobile (sorry!)
Yep.
And if that’s not enough, how about this jewel from the Fiesta Bowl where he pretty clearly misuses quotes and takes stuff pretty far out of context?
Look, he can say or write whatever but this is pretty brazen language for somebody “with no axe to grind” as he claimed here.
You can be a realist without invoking the terms “chokie state” and calling Mike Gundy “bumbling.”
Again, has nothing to do with what factually happened in Stillwater, but it might explain why this all started to begin with.
