Mason Rudolph: ‘I Think We’re Resiliant’
Mason Rudolph joined Brandon Weeden as the only QBs in the multiple 400-yard games club on Saturday. He spoke afterwards about how sweet the win was.
“It’s a great feeling any time you keep that zero in the right-hand column,” said Rudolph. “You make adjustments every game and we were just trying to take what Kansas State was giving us.
“The plan was to throw it a little more just because of what they were giving us with looks. They’re very sound on defense and don’t give up a lot of big plays. We were just kind of dinking and dunking down the field.”
Yeah, dinking and dunking 55 times and throwing monstrous 4th down passes to Marcell Ateman late in the fourth quarter. Still, No. 2 deflected the praise.
“We love our fans and they’ve done a great job all year supporting us,” he said.
“Credit to the coaches and how they’ve taught me and trained me to never get too high or too low. I think we’re resilient and we know how to fight back against adversity when we’re in a bad situation.”
That much is true. OSU led for a total of three minutes and 37 seconds on Saturday. It was enough (barely) to eke out its seventh straight W.
