Mike Boynton Handing Out Offers in Northeast After Evaluation Period

Published

on

Mike Boynton was one of innumerable coaches who took part in the first of several evaluation periods this spring and summer. Boynton tweeted about how he was in Virginia as well as New York over the weekend, and it shows with some of the offers he handed out.

Here are a few of them from both the class of 2018 and 2019.

Look at where all of these guys are from. Pennsylvania, New York, Florida and Virginia. We are, at the very least, entering a new era of Oklahoma State basketball recruiting. Gone are the days when OSU would sign two Texas kids, an Oklahoman and maybe a shooter from Arkansas or Kansas.

Boynton and associate head coach Lamont Evans have made hay on the east coast in the past (at both South Carolina and with players like Zach Dawson), and it looks like they intend to do so in the future.

Maybe the most intriguing offer that rolled in was for N’Faly Dante who is a 6-10 freshman from Bel Aire, Kansas who is starting to pick up a little bit of steam.

I’m not sure he has any idea what he’s doing (based on the video below), but he’s 6-10 and won’t graduate until 2020.

It was an eventful first evaluation weekend for Boynton in terms of dishing out offers all over the eastern seaboard. The next evaluation period is this upcoming weekend when he will likely once again hit the crootin trail.
