Mike Gundy Says Tramonda Moore is On Track to Enroll at Oklahoma State
Kyle Boone and I had a long conversation this morning about Tramonda Moore. Is he coming to OSU? Is he going to junior college? His Tuesday commitment seemed like the beginning of the drama instead of the end.
According to the Oklahoman, despite his commitment to OSU, the No. 1 prospect in the state of Oklahoma is bound for junior college.
The state’s No. 1 college football prospect appears to be headed to junior college, sources have told The Oklahoman.
The reason for this is (obviously) because he can’t qualify with his grades for a D1 football program. So the thinking goes he would sign with OSU then head to junior college with an “agreement” to return to OSU in a couple of years.
As Calvin Barnett proved a few years back, that doesn’t always go well for the school that originally signed a player. But Gundy said at his Wednesday press conference that none of it is true (that ain’t true!)
“He’s on track to be with us in June” Gundy said in response to the report that Moore is headed to junior college. That would likely mean making grades (upping his ACT score potentially?)
Gundy went even further.
Gundy: "We don't have anybody on our list we feel like won't graduate from college and have success here." #okstate

Getting Moore is a coup for a school like OSU with a clear offensive line deficiency. Even more so that he was the No. 1 recruit in the state. When does that happen? It doesn’t. The last six No. 1 recruits from Oklahoma have gone to UCLA, Alabama, OU, OU, Texas and Texas.
There’s still a little to be written about Moore and his qualification and future. But for now, it appears as if Gundy has pulled off the improbable and scored the best player in the state and one of the 15 best offensive linemen in the nation.
