Nick Starkel’s Decommitment Reveals Dark Side of Recruiting
Oklahoma State’s quarterback of the class, Nick Starkel, announced his decision to open his recruitment up on Sunday – and the announcement was met with despicable reactions by fans.
There are many dark sides of recruiting. Coaches can pull scholarships, players can waiver in commitments, and perhaps the most dark is the horrible words said to recruits on social media. Here’s some of the reactions on social media after Starkel’s announcement:
@nstarkel2 biggest mistake you'll ever make in your recruitment. Thanks though, you don't have what it takes to make it in stillwater.

@nstarkel2 another student that doesn't know the meaning of commitment. Best of luck to you

@TheOkiePokie @nstarkel2 we don't want him anyway if he's not gonna be true to his word

@nstarkel2 You'll regret this

This one… Seriously?
@TheOkiePokie @lexistarkel Fuck Him. He is not a man of his word and his duplicity and dishonesty set us back so he can suck a cock.

Bottom line: DON’T TWEET RECRUITS.
